Race ready?
I recently fixed up my brothers old road bike. It is a rocky mountain frame although I'm not sure what type exactly because it's been repainted. Its got some campagnolo wheels and seatpost, Bontrager tires and shimano shifitng(downtube) and braking gear. Some old Time 50.1 clipless pedals and look shoes which I've replaced with these(Any good? plenty stiff sole but thick and slightly heavy but weight doesn't matter too much right now)I hope to replace the pedals with some keo sprints next year. It became ridable about a month ago and I've taken it out almost everyday since. I hope to get into some racing next year and since I'm a beginner it should suffice but I was just wondering what people thought about the bike and if they were any recommendations for changes (fit is a whole 'nother issue). Thanks in advance.

thanks for the responses. Its gonna be hard to ride in winter here in Canada but I'll try my best. I'm also thinking of upgrading to STI eventually. Which do you think is more important - new keo sprint pedals or STI? Or just save my money and buy a better but used bike.
