Graphite handlebars

I recently picked up some graphite handlebars for $5 at a local shop. They're used, clearly, but in perfect condition. I want to sell them, in expectation that I could make some money. I'm new to biking and have no idea how much these should go for. The brand on the bars is a lowercase "i" with a swoop around it. What is that? They say "7075" 46cm CTC. Any help here? Are these carbon? Graphite another term for carbon fiber?

thanks

If it says 7075 then its Aluminum.

I just figured out they're Icon, which I think is the stock stuff on Trek bikes. Any idea what I can resell them for?

You'll probably get close to what you paid for them :thumb:

Wrong.

I'd say $5 sounds about right..

I have never heard of Icon, and it sure didn't come off a Trek. You might double your money.

Icon was the Trek house brand for various parts on the Trek line in the late 90's-early 00's. The CPSC issued a recall on Icon Graphite stems (which were actually aluminum, and not carbon) for several bikes in the 1999 model year. Nothing wrong with the Icon Graphite branded 'bars, though. Still, shortly after the recall, Trek worked out a deal with Bontrager to supply the non-Shimano bits for their bikes. The Icon line vanished.

I'm guessin' that $5 would be about what someone would pay for your 'bars too.
