Ridley Excalibur Build is DONE! (Lots-O-PICS)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ridley Excalibur Build is DONE! (Lots-O-PICS)

Sorry... I don't have a white garage door.

I'm very happy with the bike. I used to own a Damocles and the Excalibur is a better climber. A bit lighter too. I love the MASSIVE down tube and the sloping geometry. Very responsive and plenty stiff. Also very pleased with the aesthetics. Thanks gang for all the help!

Very Nice, Love the "Tested on Pave" sticker

I'm pretty sure you could fit some more CF somewhere. I don't think there's enough.
Nice bike.

Nice job on the build. It's a great feeling to get it done, isn't it? Just curious, what made you decide to mix and match the DA and Force stuff?

It's all DA but the crank. I like to run a compact. Here where I live in western NC it's pretty much all climbing. Heard good things about the SRAM stuff and picked one up. So far I like it alot. No issues at all. Very solid.

Looks like some clearcoat cracking in the fourth pic? Not that I would freak out over it.

Nope... that's just reflections from the direct sunlight. The clearcoat is pristine. Thanks.

interesting, thanks for the link. are they pretty tough (for carbon fiber, of course)? you know how some cf cages are really flimsy...
