Rate these headsets and help me choose one
I am looking for a moderately priced one inch threaded headset. I don't know much about the quality of various of headset brands. I can't afford to spend too much. Can you tell me anything about these brands? Or offer any other suggestions?

WTB does not seem to have a good rep.

fsa is one of the best bargains out there these days. for instance, their superlight crankset compares to campy's record crankset at 2/3 the cost. i have heard, in fact, that they have been quietly supplying a majority of tour teams (european and american) for years.
go fsa. everything i own by them is light and bombproof and surprisingly inexpensive. plus, yst has been discount parts for a long time, and i have never liked anything i've used by wtb.

FSA makes pretty decent stuff for the money. If your choices are narrowed to those listed,I would go with them.
FYI...I have also owned and used a Wilderness headset and had no problems with it in 2 years of serious MTB use. recently replaced witha KING just because.

King headset is a good choice.
I have read threads dissin' wtb and it seems, few supporters of the products.
I'm shure to a certain point they are fine, but why gamble though?
A couple bucks for a very integral frame component upgrade is smart money.

I am not limited to those brands. Its just that those are the ones that seem reasonably priced. I saw a stronglite on Nashbar for a good price so that is worth considering also.
