2005 Bianchi Eros?
 

I'm looking to buy a few-years-old Bianchi for some light touring, commuting, and light racing. I've also become fairly obsessed with the color celeste. So I'm looking for a 55cm Bianchi Eros, which looks like it has decent geometry for what I want, as well as rack/fender eyelets. Problem is, I can't find one. Craigslist and eBay have been strangely void of them, and I'm not quite sure where else to look. The best I found was one from 1999, but the guy wants $800, which seems amazingly high.

Any ideas? Other places to look? Or another Bianchi celeste bike that might suit my needs? I'd be most grateful.

Either you race or you don't. You can't cruise.

$800 seems a but steep, but the Eros has retailed for $1200 or more since Bianchi started selling them, and if the rig is in good condition, $800 might be reasonable.

Try and talk the dude down, if you can't get anything out of him, check back here every week and see if something happens.

My wife bought an 03/04(?) Eros from ebay for $500 last year, took a while for it come up though.

You could look for a Brava too, similar frame.

The Brava has... Shimano. >.<
