Help...transitioning from mountain to road!

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help...transitioning from mountain to road!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had some killer rides this year!

I've been mountain biking for some time but I've been wanting to try road cycling the past couple years. What's a good bike for someone like me? I ask this because I'm going to be getting my road cycle soon through a cool offer. I'll describe the offer below, so if you're not interested in it, then STOP reading...

Road Grind is a new road cycling enthusiast social community that needs help with the beta testing before launch. If you help them out, they can hook you up with free stuff like t-shirts and/or a free or hugely discounted new brand-name road bike! (ie Cannondale, Specialized, Giant, Schwinn, Trek, LeMond)

Click the link to check it out. PM me if you have any questions. And thanks in advance for any advice you have for me!

Explaining what the site is about or does would be a good start.
