Which forum do I post a “which bike should I buy” Question?

Hello everyone sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have a friend selling a 2013 R3 with DA derailleurs and brakes and ultegra 6800 shifters. He's asking 2300 canadian. Just wondering if this is worth it? It comes with alloy wheels but I will be putting my own on there. Bike seems in prtty good condition. Was a project build that hasn't been ridden much.

Used Bikes : The price is in between the Seller and Buyer.

Gravel is a no-no for a road bike.
Wow, that's a long post.. so many questions. Have you tried the search function on this forum? Road bikes are awesome fun, best of luck on your riding adventures :-)

Is a road bike suitable for gavel?

Hey all! Any silent XDR hubs out there? Or do they all sound similar, because they use the same driver? Thanks!

Trek Madone 5,5 2008?

Hello from a new member!
Lacking expertise in carbon, the crowd at Classic and Vintage suggested I post here. I encountered the bike shown in the first pic - the picture is all I know for now, given that I am away from that location. Some detective work helped me to identify the bike as Trek Madone 5.5 2008.

Questions: (1) Can anyone with recent experience of buying/selling provide info on estimated value/price? (2) Any glaring issues that owners of this bike have encountered? (3) Feel free to add any (unsolicited but much welcomed) advice, given my lack of expertise in carbon.

Thank you in advance.

Something wrong with those spec photos but was a great bike in its time. Dura Ace on a decent mid range frame with fairly relaxed geometry and looks like it still has the spacers on the steerer. I’d want to see close up photos to make sure it’s been looked after. No idea on price. Was about 4500USD at the time.

Thanks choddo. No more pics, nor information on the bike. It was not available anymore, so I could not see it. Thanks!

Might I suggest that the thread title include "Questions About the Forum" rather than "Newbie Questions Answered Here?"

Just saying :D

Better still, I have completely removed the ‘questions’ part of the title, because it continues to confuse so many newbs.

Once again folks, this thread is not for questions about bikes, it’s for questions about the forums.

Er, the first post describes what kind of questions (about bikes) to ask in this thread. Does no one have admin access to edit that out if the OP is no longer around?
