2008 Gios Gress feedback
Hello,
New member here. I recently had to move to Japan for work and didnt bring any of my bikes with me from the US. Ive been looking for some bike shops and recently found a shop selling Masi and Gios bike lineups. The Gios Gress really caught my eye http://www.81496.com/jouhou/2008/gios/image/gress.jpg I just cant get any feedback on the bike. I dont believe its sold in the US. But as a little bit of an amateur to the biking world, I was wondering if you guys could check out the specs againist the price (approx 2600USD) and let me know how it lines up againist other full carbon frame bikes in this price range? I translated some of the specs. I hope this is in the right section and I apologize ahead of time if I missed something while searching. Thanks for the heads up. Interesting that it is just about in line with what one would pay in the US at a bike store...Looks pretty competitive at that price point.

Gios Japan sells a lot of bikes that Gios Italy doesn't make. Some of them are really cool, like the small wheeled road bikes. It's probably a nice bike, but I doubt there will be much feedback on them here.

I thought that would have had a major impact on them being popular in Japan. I also noticed some of the components are made by Mizuno for Gios in Japan.
As for 2600USD for the carbon frame bike with the 105 gear on it? Worth while? From what I gather, it seems like Gios bikes have awesome attention to detail and ride extremely well. |
Mizuno forks are common OEM fit forks on nice Italian frames. Actually, I think they have a factory in Italy. Mizuno works with De Rosa too, so that they can make their carbon frames in house. In fact,,my British frame came with a Mizuno fork which rode very well.

Looks like a really nice bike. I have an aluminum Gios and love it. Rides great. Their frames are well-built in my experience.

Thanks for the heads up guys! I'll definitely look more into this bike at the shop. Thanks again!
