Best prices on SRAM gruppos?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Best prices on SRAM gruppos?

Man, with all of this talk about how great the SRAM gruppos are, I made the mistake of test-riding a bike with SRAM Red. Awesome stuff! Now I've got a hankering to ditch my barely-used Ultegra SL drivetrain and upgrade to a Force+Red gruppo. Who has the best prices on SRAM upgrade kits? I didn't see anything when I looked on eBay. Colorado Cyclist has an 8-piece Force upgrade kit for $1000, with the option to upgrade select pieces to Red. The only catch is they're shipping the 2008 version of the components rather than 2009. Upgrade to Red levers for an additional $34 and it would seem you've got a darn nice gruppo at a pretty decent price.

Are there any better deals out there? Any reason not to go with 2008 Force + Red levers? I know that the trim function has moved from the small chain ring to the large one in 2009. I ride a lot of hills and tend to use the small ring quite a bit, so I'm not sure if having trim on the large chain ring is a benefit for me or not.

Do you even research the **** you spew, or does it just come out via reflex?
