I've never ridden...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've never ridden a titanium or steel(*) bike.

(*) I actually did borrow a old Schwinn road bike almost 10 years ago, but I don't remember how it felt to ride it.

I fear them.
Once I ride one, I will want one.
Once I want one, I will buy one.
Once I buy one, my wife will hurt me.
I fear being hurt.

I will ride my first one when I reach my target.

I've ridden a couple but didn't care for either (a Bianchi and a Cannondale)

Didn't stop me buying a carbon frame to build up though.

Yeah, I've ridden with bdcheung and he knows what a horrible elitist I am. I figured it was appropriate.

I'm just getting paranoid that there's this set of pedals that keep stalking me. Every time I turn around, there they are.......
