My PF ZX3 is finally finished (photo)

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My PF ZX3 is finally finished (photo)

I was in no hurry and the custom paint job took a while, but it's finally done:

Just the motivation I need to get my fat arse back on the bike. Work has been a b!tch and I haven't even ridden once in months.

I decided to leave the PedalForce logo on there. I can't decide if I like it, but I love the group buy concept and PF has been great to work with, so I thought I'd keep it.

Nice Paint job...where did you get it painted? $$? I just recently finished the build of my RS (2 years after the fact) as well as my Fiance's RS2. I'll have to get some pictures. I love the Blue color scheme.

Love it. I am a ZX3 owner myself. Does Pedal Force have the derailleur hangers in stock for the ZX3? I was a little annoyed that they didn't include a spare nor that they had any extras in stock.

Paint job was $575 from Airglow in Georgia.
Tires are ProRace 3s.
Wheels were a pro deal from our cycling team.

Did I need another bike? Um, since when does need have anything to do with it?

$575 isn't bad. I was quoted $800 by the people that do Tiemeyer frames. That was an entire breakdown/repaint though.

I would have left more carbon around the BB but that's a nice job.

Nice. Usually I don't like color matched tires. But, yours REALLY match so they look good.

Wow that looks great...worth every penny of the paint job IMO.

I'm the same way, especially with light or brightly colored tires. Since the color only goes about halfway up the sidewall I think it looks good without being over-the-top. And compared to the fugly gray color of the "black" ProRace tires, the dark blue looks great. IMO, of course.

Another happy ZX3 owner here. Nude carbon, mostly black stealth components.
re. RD hanger. email them. They used to have them.
Regardless, don't worry too much. The LBS mechanic showed me that they were exactly the same hanger as many other generic hangers (ex. certain Argon 12 models) they had in store- at the time they were building it up last November.
10-15 $ if I remeber correctly

You can order them from the web site. I bought an extra one just in case.
