Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Since it was requested..

I figured it would be better to put all the "fall foliage" pics in one thread but the last one didn't work out too well since the OP requested we get our own threads

Ok so here's yet another fall foliage picfest. I never bring my camera with me on the bike since it is too big, so I went out again on the motorcycle just to take advantage of the peak colors...

This is a ride quite near my house, pretty hilly and always beautiful.

Does Allentown count? If so then yes

I haven't ridden a bicycle there though. I was thinking of going for track day at Pocono on the motorbike.

I would like to go to the velodrome down there.

That's beautiful... I wish it looked like that here in Texas, instead of just ugly.

It's possible I might just be jealous of Texas come January when I am suffering on the indoor trainer!

If there is enough snow for x-c skiing, probably not...

BTW the snow makes pretty good pics too

I should take some pictures when I lead a group ride through a farmland ride we're doing on saturday evening.

Thanks for sharing. This reminds me so much of the area in CT where I ride. I loveeee it!

Yea, we have you when it gets sub artic up north of Oklahoma.

Gotta ask though, what are those big bumps in the ground? Our ground is flat, kind of like the earth.

Wow. Beautiful. Starting to get there in SE MI now.

It's kind of like the trees are giving us a treat before they run and hide and we're left with the imminent doom of the winter.

I'm originally from the east coast, so it's nice to see the fall colors that I don't get out here in Cali. Nice pics! Thanks!
