Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hinault 1980 LBL

Does anyone know where I can find a poster of Hinault in the snow from the 1980 Liege? I've tried seemingly every poster site on the internet.

Take a look:

Anyone?

Thanks.

There's nothing more beautiful, painful and self-humiliating than training in the freezing cold.

It's beauty is enigmatic, but the suffering is immediate.

Oh, the masochistic joys of road cycling. I think the transition of Fred to Roadie occurs between the months of November and March.

Complete destroyation. Hinault won by nearly 10 minutes. It really was one of the greatest wins in the history of the sport.
