Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Veins.

Totally off-topic (though somehow road cycling related), but I just noticed that I have veins all over my legs now.

Whoa.

Edit. Even the best make spelling errors sometimes.

You are being vain by caring how your veins look.

if you did not *have* veins I would expect a lot of one-way blood traffic there.

I would attempt to correct the spelling idiocy on BF, but I long ago concluded it would be in vain. Or in vains, whichever the case may be.

Crassic, not to worry, it could be a sign your BMI is decreasing significantly and the muscle tone in your legs is increasing. Your veins may be getting closer to your skin since there's little body fat. I'm wondering if you've decreased your fat intake too much; perhaps it's time for that wonderful cheeseburger/grilled cheese sandwich posted awhile back?

The only visible veins I ever see on my body are on my hands and my... never mind.

I do like seeing veins on women. Not the lumpy bulging kind, but a hint of blue lines through fair skin. I find it beautiful.

My legs are covered in veins from my hips to my feet. When I run or cycle they really show, the coolest looking ones are the ones that go across my thigh and the ones that run down the sides of my knees. It's a good sign buddy just means you're in shape. Mine have been showing more and more with my fitness increasing. If others don't have them, they're prob. just not as in good of shape as you. Next time you're out, look at the peoples legs who ARE in shape, you'll see them. Usually around their calves or going down there achilles.

I like the veins being there. It's just weird to me that they're there now.

Just one step closer to pro!

(For the purists, that was a joke.)

Big veins come from 3 things: 1) decreased bodyfat, 2) increased vascularization, and possibly 3) dehydration
