A worrying sign while training.
I'm posting this here because I would think that there are more people that could contribute.
I did something of a LT workout today, trying to get myself at and above lactate threshold. I knew I was there; my legs were burning, and I was loving it (in a sadistic sort of way). Towards the end of my interval (I believe it was 10 minutes), I was doing a final power climb, and traffic got in the way of my final push. I slowed down to match speed...but I got tired. Really quickly. On top of that, I quickly felt discomfort in my sitbones (i.e. the chamois messed up...again).
I was fine throughout the day and in my morning ride (which wasn't as hard, but I hit LT a few times). Two hours before leaving, I had a little less than cup of whole grain pasta, mixed with light parmesan cheese and sauteed mushrooms, with a chicken breast, marinated in lemon juice, teriyaki and other spices. My stomach didn't react to it well, but it may have been because the chicken wasn't fresh (it was about a week old, refrigerated, before I cooked it). After my train ride, I felt much better and was able to finish up the ride without issues (except the chamois issue).
Has anyone experienced this? Why do you think it happened to you?
Thank you!

I don't think I understand your question. What unusual or worrying thing do you think happened there? It all sounds pretty normal to me.

The sitbone issue would, I think, relate more to the workout you were giving your glutes.
The drop-off in energy probably came from the sudden fall from the emotional/adrenalin high when you encountered the traffic. Plus, you likely were at the peak of your output immediately prior to the traffic. I know at the end of hillclimb time trials, everyone was knackered at the top and needed a bit of time for the lactic acid to get out of their muscles before pedalling off again.
What does you heartrate monitor say?
