Anywhere to get a Bicycling Magazine subscription

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh come on, it's a decent mag. I usually skip the articles and head straight to the gear reviews.

Decent in the sense that they don't fall apart after a few years.

You get what you pay for, and you are paying for nothing with Bicycling.

Rodale sucks. That said, I bought the most recent issue at the airport in Detroit...it was all they had. So I must conclude that it sucks, but it is better than nothing.

+1 If your IQ is over 70, this is not the mag for you. Try Cycling Plus.

The "gear reviews" are advertorials at best.

It really is a trash mag. Even free it represent a waste of paper. Unless you have a litter try to line.

Cycling Plus is the closest to real reviews but although they sometimes run "Fred-vertorials".

p.s. is that Project One Trek in your sig the worst you could do? Say it isn't real...

Yep. And every month when it shows up at my house I think less of Performance Bike. What a thoroughly useless magazine!

I like velonews, but they're getting a little too heavy on the MTB content for me.

Haven't we had this discussion before? ProCycling is good, as is Cycle Sport. I like ROAD, too.

But really, Bicycling is glossy bogroll.

I don't really care about pro cycling results, which I find makes up the most of Velonews, et al. I like the type of content in Bicycling- gear, training, and interviews- even if the execution is poor. Which magazine has a good amount of non-pro-cycling content?

What kind of non-racing content are you looking for?

Gear reviews? Check out PezCyclingNews.com, or CyclingNews.com

Interviews? Who are they going to interview, Joe 6-pack?

Training tips - if you're not racing, what are you training for?

That would be something, the fact that it's glossy makes it very difficult to even wipe your *ss with it.
