Think of the advantages. You could wear even gaudier clothing, and subtly sneer while drinking espresso.

M. Savage should give Dubya the same treatment ..... Then the video would be 3 hours long.

Hi,

Some of us say we're going to get a Cervelo with a gruppo that may or may not be widely available. Me, I recently made the appropriate mouse clicks to get one of these:

and some of these:

Purchase inspired by Dr. Chen and Ms. DeLuca and I didn't need to make a stinkin' deposit. ;)

I'll post some photos when I put it together. I'll be wearing normal, old guy, shop clothes when I put it together.

Seriously, Congrats on your new bike.:thumb: I am anxious to hear your ride impressions.

Bingo

I took 20 years between bikes with Campy stuff on it. My last Campy bike was a Pogliaghi with Nuovo Record, but I just built an Alan with Campy Record 10. I also have an E5 Allez with 9 speed DA.

After about 500 miles, the campy stuff is OK but not exactly blowing my mind in terms of how well it works. Shifts are precise enough and all, but the shifters actually feel less "substantial" than the DA shifters. The little mouse ear thingy seems like it is pretty delicate.

On the other hand, it is remarkably light compared to DA, and if it matters, I like the aesthetic of the Record group better than the DA group. Right now, I'm still happy with the choice, but I don't think I would have been unhappy mechanically with DA 7800 or waiting for 7900 either.

I mean it kinda looks like a Pedal Force with some stickers and a white paint job.

deathhare 11-19-08 09:56 AM

Eye-talian letters cost more.

BikesAreCool123 11-19-08 10:14 AM

You just put P-Cad in the title to generate more hits, didn't you?
