Caad 5 Saeco Year??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Caad 5 Saeco Year??

I am just getting in to the sport and just picked up a Cannondale Caad 5 Saeco Bike. It has full Ultegra components. I was told it has only been ridden about 500 miles. Does anyone know what year this model was made? This is just a pic of the frame I found. Thanks

I have one of those. Mine is from 2002, but I think they had them for a few years. Check the serial number, then do a search.

It's probably a 2001.

In 2000 they offered the CAAD4 in the R5000 model.

In 2001 they offered the CAAD6 in the top model. Sandwiched in there was the 5 (the 5 was the first bike they made that had an integrated headset). The 6 was lighter and had hollogram. As that year progressed, the 5 was the top model at the R3000 level. That was two below the team bike. But it didn't start out that way.

They ran through the 5 and 6 real fast, the 6 only available for a very short time before the 7 came out in 2002..

For serial number ID, this may help.
