Cracked carbon update
Last spring I cratered my 404s during a road race. I put hairline cracks near the braking surface on both wheels. Well....actually one was a bit larger than hairline. I couldn't be without race wheels so the GL engineering brain trust decided epoxy was the way to go. 50 races later the wheels held up fine, and there's no sign of the crack spreading. So there's that.
In other news the curtain thread was closed so it seems my chances for finding interweb love by the light of BF is greatly diminished. Where ever are the single ladies looking for a riding partner and to work a feed zone? You must be out there....my heart flutters with anticipation Sensitive male, not afraid to wear pink, likes kids and dogs.

Is that chick hitting on me?
The fix was pretty simple... some two part expoxy smeared in really meager amounts over the crack and worked in with a playing card. Not sure how big a crack it would handle, but it still appears stable.

You just aren't looking in the right place. Try Central Park on a spring day. Keep the pace around 15 or so. Anything faster and you're mostly riding with the guys, or alone. Sometimes you'll find a serious female cyclist doing a good pace, but don't count on it.

Fast enough to get where I want to go. I don't race. No need for a CF wheelset.

Wow. Classy! I'm sure the ladies are just lining up at your door.
Billy, back to play some more? Didn't get enough yesterday?
Anywhere my two wheels decide to take me. Suggestions?

Well, I guess someplace south. Who the heck would want to ride in MI? There must be a ride partner locater on this board. I'd offer a tour of the northeast, but it's cold and I rarely leave my basement.

In that case, perhaps my online dating profile would be appropriate. Smart girl, <3's to ride, can be intense, not into chick flicks. Oh, and I don't have a CF wheelset, so in lieu of flowers...

I'm a reasonably fast cyclist, but not particularly astute at the ways of the interweb or online dating. Are you a PCad alias? I feel like I'm being played here. I don't even recall how this started....you can't possibly be a woman, and can't possibly be hitting on me. I call B.S.
Time to ride the rollers. Good luck with your search. I hope you find your Match.*
