Best ISIS bottom bracket?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Best ISIS bottom bracket?

I just picked up a set of Zipp 300 cranks on Chainlove, and I need a bottom bracket for them. Who makes a reliable ISIS bb?

I think I've narrowed it down to the Crank Brothers Cyan and FSA model. Any opinions on these?

The Stronglight Twister seems to be held in high regard in Britain.

I got this same set last month from chainlove, and it hasnt been the best experience either. I hope yours is better. The crank is fine, but the chainrings are suspect. The big ring on mine has some deformities. Chainlove will exchange the whole unit though, just dont know if I want to deal with it again (tearing it all down and sending it back). Im looking at changing it out now with a shimano chainring. I went with the FSA platinum pro ISIS bracket which has been fine.

Thanks. I've heard the same things about the chainrings, that they dont have a finish on them, so they wear down quickly.

But what exactly do you mean about the deformities? Could I possibly throw a set of Dura-Ace chainrings onto this crank?

I think FSA makes a good one. I've got one in my cross bike that has seen 5000km of riding and some nasty cross races and it still spins very nicely. Much better than the Truvativ and Raceface I had tried prior.

Yes you could. With mine, one tooth is not like the other, too big, and the big ring itself is not flat (bent). My LBS wrench did the best he could on it and got it to where it works. Its not the smoothest shifting though and and still needs work. For a high end crank, it should certainly be better. But again, as was stated, its probably heavily discounted for a reason on chainlove. My LBS suggested shimano or FSA chainrings for it and I have also heard the same from folks in this forum. Shimano has better tooth profiles and shifting ramps (thanks Bananatugger). I like the spider and the crank arms though, good stuff, light and strong. Let me know how your rings turn out.

I'm having issues installing mine with the Crank Brothers Cyan BB (108's). Anyone else have issues with this? The LBS is stumped as well. We aren't able to get the driveside of the crank all of the way tight, it seems like the spindle is too short for the crank, and if you tighten it all of the way, it rubs. Any thoughts/similar experiences/suggestions?
