Mavic Cosmic Carbone on Chainlove

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You'll need 2 Mavic Carbones but Chainlove only sells 1. And its the same one if you get two.

The front wheel is the most important for aero, and if I had $300 to spend, I'd buy it. Besides, if you're not too anal about them matching, I have seen a bunch of brand new Hed Alps (rear only) on ebay for $250.

Looks to me like it's the rear wheel being sold now. Sweet Jesus, but that's an ugly wheel!

1. Bulletproof and very efficient. I love my Carbone clinchers and yes, I have had much lighter aero wheels.

They should have sold them as a pair, since they were both 9/9

I kinda wish I'd gotten one. That, and an $85 wheel cover for my Open Pro rear = TT wheelset for cheapskate.

That Aerodynamics sheet floating around here shows them to be one of the more aero wheelsets available. Cost makes them even better. They're just a little heavy...

LOL I'm recommending they change they're tag line to

"all your wallets are ours"

It's funny but they put an MTB wheelset on at the same time last month; they prob didn't have the same qty of fronts, but I'll ask them in the morning.

Keep in mind they're tops in customer service, so you can always return a front wheel if they run out of the rears on the next item posted.
