You might look at the outdoor stores for lightweight fabrics with Gore Windstopper. All the better if it has a wicking layer. Windstopper gloves too. North Face, Marmot, Mountain Hardware, etc. make these types of clothing. You may find some good deals as it is the end of the year for winter hiking, cross-country skiing, etc. clothing. Otherwise, of course, at regular price the clothing is not cheap. The stuff seems to get sold at reasonable prices on EBay. They will keep you warm and dry, and you won't need a jacket until it gets pretty cold.

Full fingered - Pearl Izumi - Amfibs (not cheap, but your fingers will survive) You can probably get them on sale now that the winter season is over.
1/2 finger cloves - I love my Chiba gloves!! Again, not the cheapest, but the do last and they are very comfortable. They also have neat loops so you can put them off easier.
Arm warmers - depends on how warm you want. They come in varying weights. I tend to go for lighter and use a lonsleeved undershirt or jersey over them for really cold weather. They tend to breath better and your arms don't get as sweaty inside a wind proof jacket.
Just my two cents worth...Bill

I use Man***** mitten shells below about 45F. If it's below 35F, I add a pair of polypro glove inserts. If below 25F, I add a pair of wool glove inserts. If below 10F, I wear all of the above.

A lot depends on what your local conditions are, and how they vary.
Arm and leg warmers are for rides with a big variation in temp. If your rides are more even in temp, then a long-sleeved jersey, windproof, and full leggings will be more comfortable.
You pay a lot for premium brands. For winter cycling, general sports/hiking gear is often good value, eg leggings worm over your bike shorts.
Ive used the TUFF gloves for everyday commuting, and they last well, but I cant find them any more.

i use pearl izumi leg and arm warmers <the cheaper ones don't 'stay'> and will only frustrate you.
most everyone is clearing out winter stuff now, but if you ride @ 5:30am like i do, you'll use 'em for another month or so....

Dont laugh, But I used to use HINDE....
They were inexpensive and they lasted a good long time....
I got my son some cheap Bell gloves and they have held up great for him...
Then again I am sure if you look on ebay you can get a quality brand of all you are looking for at a good price.. I think nonstop ciclismo has them on ebay

I have a full and half fingured set of gloves for different weather.
First are the Specialized 04 Comp Glove
The others I use are the Specialized 04 Team XC Long Finger Glove
As far as leg warmers I use all Pearl Apparel.

I really like the Casati gloves that I picked up recently...made in Italy goodness...
Had to go to a different LBS then my regular one, as they only stock gloves that are made in China...

nashbar. They're arm warmers go for 15 buck and they have a thin fleece lining and rubber grips that stay up! In the san francisco wind and fog they're great! As for gloves, I like specialized, I'm not that picky when it comes to gloves...my LBS usually has something for around 10 to 15 bucks. As for leg warmers, I like the knee warmers from nashbar.

I might as well weigh in, too.
Regular gloves
FAVORITE - Pearl Izumi White Line about $22 though you can sometimes catch a clearance. Check sierratradingpost.com
EXCELLENT LESS EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE - Specialized Air Wave about $10
I have pairs of both that I have been using in rotation for 3 years and look like they will last at least another 3.
ARM/KNEE Warmers
I have a couple of weights
DeFeet heavier knit about $20
Voler lycra also about $20
Less expensive source for excellent DeFeet seconds - longscycle.com

Keeping this on topic, I picked up a couple of the terry-cloth Performance gloves. They were on sale for $9.95 from $15. They've proved to be every bit as good as anything else I've worn so far, but then I don't spend a lot on the gloves.

I'm using Performance full-finger neoprene gloves - they work great, rain or not. Dollar for dollar, you can't beat DeFeet's arm and knee/leg warmers.
