The First Annual Pcad BF Road Cycling Futility Award Nominations
The First Annual Pcad BF Road Cycling Futility Award recipient will be chosen from the Nominees presented in this thread. A deserving winner will have demonstrated an unwavering devotion to a futile pursuit of some cycling goal, answer or information through posts on BF, time and again, to no avail whatsoever, inspiring all of us with his or her incredibly lame and pointless quest. It is these Quixotic individuals who are the Bedrock of BF, and they deserve recognition.
• Newbies, though often valiant in their efforts in this regard, are not eligible. One year membership is the minimum required to qualify.
• The pointless threads can involve training, gear, or any road cycling topic.
• I would nominate myself, but that would be unseemly.
First prize will be an all expense paid trip to Casa Cad* and a ride with PCad Himself.
* You get to the UPS Depot 2 miles from my house, I'll send Mrs. Pcad to pick you up. You will enjoy luxurious accommodations on the carpeted basement floor with private bath, fabulous dinners out @ Wendy's and your own personal House Cat to accompany during your stay (and like Hotel Soap, feel free to take the cat with you when you leave).
Second prize will be as above and two rides with PCad Himself, one in the rain.
Third prize are two free 10+ year old Siamese Cats with a proclivity for meowing too much and vomiting.
Let the Nomination Process commence.

Yipee old vomiting cats! Just what I need considering I'm allergic to animal dander. Here's to coming in third.

If I win, I'm not sure what my prize would be.

I don't think we really understand the goal. Is something like your teammate's attempt to pick up women on BF the kind of thing you're looking for?

Unfortunately, I've sworn never to never again cross the NY state line without getting paid to do so. So in spite of my futile pounding on BD fanbois, I could not accept any such award. Plus, I already have a meowing fuzzbag and don't need another.

My father, Rowan, and I went to Wendy's for supper. The next morning my father was violently ill. Rowan and I left to go camping that day ... I was fine all day, and for about half the next day, and then it hit. I don't think I've ever been so incredibly violently ill in my life before. The outhouse in our campground became my best friend. I could go into graphic detail here if you're interested.
But after that ... I haven't set foot in a Wendy's.

Exactly. Of course, while that would seem to be an ideal nominee, it is not Road Cycling related. So while surely worthy in certain respects (and it's hard to fine a more futile quest than his) those posts would not qualify.

The place is dead to me since the whole really-nasty-bout-of-food-poisoning I had in mid-August mere days before my wedding.

From the thread title I was thinking George Hincapie winning Paris Roubaix is the sure winner. But then I read the fine print.
Not even the typical BF'er really believes GH can win the cobble. But if there was a BF'er that believed that, he'd be a good nominee.
