Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Post your BMI (Body weight weenies)

OK, I did a search and couldn't find this one yet.

Mine is 18.5 (height 6 ft 1/2 inch, weight 138 lbs)....the low weight helps me get to the top of the hills first, even though my bike weighs about 25 pounds.

And no, I don't have AIDS.

Mine's a 23 right now but I'm a 22 during the summer. 6'2" 175 over this past summer, 180 right now. I want to get it below 170 next summer. You must be crack addict thin at that BMI.

24.8. (5'10", 173lbs) The BMI says I'm borderline overweight. And yet the last bodyfat analysis I had said I was 10% BF. So there you go.

Another anorexia thread? Body fat percentage is a much better pissing contest if you want to go there.

Well my wife teases me that I look like the lead singer of the black crowes (I forget his name) or a concentration camp survivor....but I am not technically underweight and I feel great! I don't want to go under 135 though, or I would really start to look like a skeleton.

Not pro ana. And I agree that body fat % is a much better measure. But BMI is so easy to calculate!

WOW. OPs weight is incredibly light for that height. A conditioned Hincapie isn't even that light.
I am a tub compared to you guys. (and people tell me I am skinny @190lbs 6'2")
I can imagine getting down to my super skinny sub 9% bodyfat college days (when I trained daily) but even then I was a min of 165lbs.

To summarize: Low BMI ≠Fitness

5'8" 130 pounds so BMI=19.8

I've been trying to gain weight for a couple years now but it just isn't happening. But I am 20 years old so I should pick up a bit more weight as I get older.
