Friction to Index shifting, Help
I have a very Noob question. I just got an '88 Schwinn Prologue with Campy 7 speed and down tube friction shifters. The shift levers are not Campy and if I wanted to go all Campy could I put these shifters on_

and have indexed shifting in the rear or do I need to do a lot of other mods to make that happen?
I don't have to have indexed I just saw the levers and wanted to find out the possibilities.
Sorry if I need to post in a different place.

Try the classic and vintage forum or mechanics forum. They'll probably be more help than here. Most of us here use modern drivetrains and don't know enough to help you.
