I need the wisdom of BF-(buying schwag)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sup BF'as!

I got a ultegra group fo' free! Oh yea.

Now i need a bike to go with it.

Wanna spend around 2000-2500 on the rest of the bike and i get specialized stuff cheap.

I am thinking tarmac sl frame/fork/post and dont know where to go from there.

Guidance from y'alls infinite wisdom will be accepted and appreciated.

List me the parts I need and keep in mind I am slow but like flashy shenanigan parts.

Any and every part is up for discussion.

Help me out merry christmas happy kwanza channukah atheist day whatever happy new year.

Did you read Big Sean's thread?
https://www.bikeforums.net/33-road-bike-racing/491594-new-race-bike-ordered.html

seems like there might be some good advice/links in there.

Nice result with the Ultegra BTW. Sounds like you should be able to build a superb bike for your budget.

These are all the parts you need to build a bike. You can paste that into a spreadsheet and manage your build budget. If you are not building the bike yourself don't forget the mechanic:

Frame + Fork
Headset
Shifters
Cables
Cable Stops
Brakes
Front Derailleur
Rear Derailleur
Chain + link
Crank
Bottom Bracket
Saddle
Stem
Handlebars
Tape
Wheels
Skewers
Tires / Tubes
Cassette
Pedals
Cages + bolts
Seatpost
Computer

I guess what you really wanted was a listing of specific brand/model parts along with prices that, when totaled, fit within your stated budget...

Let me get right on it.

Since you can get Specialized stuff for cheap why do you ask? Just buy everything from them, they have some good saddles, stems, bars, shoes, cranks etc.

rarely do you get people doing a lot of work for you with no compensation.

If it was me I would buy a complete bike from specialized and either sell your free group or strip the group from the complete bike and sell that. That would be the most cost effective way to go about doing things.
