Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Campy brake pad removal

I am looking on the pda file off campy's website. I my 07 Centaur brakes, I can simply slid them out without unscrewing the actual caliper right? Any tips on this? Seems like I will have to engage the front brake in order to take the pads out because the fork is in the way. Is this all sound right?

They slide out the back without any screws. Pull the wheel and push the pad holder to the inside.

are you doing this to swap brake pads between Alumimnum and carbon rims? I would recommend getting another set of pad holders if you are doing that.

i decided to pick up a set of Zipp pads for both carbon and aluminum, I got the pads out but now im having trouble securing the rear brake itself into place, so that the once the pull the brake lever one pad wont stick/touch the wheel. Im going to look over the pda file on campys website rite now.
