external iliac endofibrosis

I developed severe left thigh iscemia and had to quit racing, could not find a doc in the us that had treated this particalar problem. At the time a doc in France had succesfully treated seven pro cyclists but the condition was not well known. Since then I've heard of quite a few others that have developed the same problem (Ryan Cox, Stuart O'grady,) and the clinic in France has treated over 300 patients. I'm hoping someone here knows of someone here in the states that's been treated for External iliac artery endofibrosis. I want to get back on the bike/racing, thanks, T.R.

Try the large research institutions like the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins. If they don't have anyone, they can probably help you find somebody.

Dr. Kenneth Cherry at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, VA just did the surgery on my wife. Also have a friend in CA that had the surgery in May 2009 performed by Dr. Jeffery Ballard in Orange, CA.
