Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Neuvation Bikes

Just was on the neuvation site looking for an upgrade to my sturdy M28 aero wheels which have thousands of miles on them. All trouble free.
Noticed they are now selling bikes. The FC-100 carbon with Dura Ace 7900 seems like a steal at $2200.

Ugly as hell but nice components...whats with that seatpost. Uugghh.

not a biggie but standard the 7900 bike comes with Ultegra brakes, cassette and chain. Add about $300.00 to make it full 7900

I don't think it's that ugly, if they just got rid of that wierd stem setup and cut off the steerer tube to a normal length it would look pretty good.

What do you mean about the seatpost?? Aside from being a little long it looks like a normal seatpost to me.

Actually it looks like it's fitted to a person WAY to tall for the frame, with the long seatpost and high-angle stem, it looks like a Mtn bike setup.

Then part out the bike... keep the gruppo and sell the frameset, wheels and other components!

I bought the F100 with the full carbon fork and DA group, r28sl4 wheelset. The bike is fantastic and i believe neuvation's alu. frames are lighter than their cf frames. I got the fsa sl-k seatpost option (don't know if it's still available) because the neuvation seatpin is not very attractive.

Sorry about the seatpost.....thought it was the areo one that mimick'd the downtube.
Yes, ultegra brakes, chain and cog....which is'nt bad but not 7900.

I like the comment of buying the bike to piece out the good stuff which is worth it alone at $2k-ish.

I saw the video on the FC...someone makes it in taiwan for top shelf manufacturer's also.

I have the F100 with Ultegra/FSA and R28

It seems all right so far. Pretty much what you expect from an aluminum bike with Ultegra. Nothing flashy, but nothing disappointing.

I bought one as I wanted to get back to racing and I did not want to worry about laying down an a carbon frame. Maybe I should have went CAAD9, but we will see.

The aero seat post is pretty stupid and I just ordered a Thomson to replace it. Cant tell if the SLR saddle is good or bad yet. The bars seem narrow for 44cm and I will be throwing on some Rtichey bars soon enough. Build quality was decent and communication is good.

It is not the most attractive bike, but it is not the ugliest either.
