A tip of the hat Botto.

Another +1 on the recivery and and an even larger +1 on reminding eveyone to get checked if you sense something different.

I like Botto better than Lance. I'm glad he's ok.

having the courage and taking the time to share this story here speaks volume towards your character. good stuff for sure. thank you.

I applaud botto for being secure enough to raise awareness about this serious issue. However, I disagree that courage drives people to seek medical help; fear is what makes people seek help, and there is nothing wrong with that. Fear keeps us alive.

Psimet2001 01-03-09 01:13 PM

Congrats botto, and many more years for sure.

Later.

Fixed.

7 years, that's great! God knows this place wouldn't be the same had you not been around to share some great stories of racing and riding in the states and abroad, as well as driving the post count ;)
I'll be celebrating 7 years this coming July, while not the same diagnosis, your story does bring back fond memories of fighting with insurance companies trying to get simple test like an MRI covered.
Good luck on many more years Botto!

Plus if botto bought the farm I'd need a new attorney.

Here's to many more cancer-free years for you.

I actually enjoy Botto's comments, and I'm glad that 7 years later, one has Botto been enough. ;)

Bravo! You may well have saved another life by having the courage to share your story. Thank you for that.

HigherGround 01-03-09 11:06 PM

Thanks for having the guts and the interest in others to share your story botto. Best wishes for the future. I'd miss your threads about riding in Italy; they always make me want to move to Europe!

monporn 01-13-09 07:15 AM

it takes balls to post up things like this.

Glad you're still around Botto. Even if you do make snarky comments, good 'ol bf wouldn't be the same w/o you.

Glad to hear you're still ticking. The 35 comment caught my eye, since I'm a bit older. I did a quick search and found this:

"... About 9 out of 10 testicular cancers occur in men between the ages of 20 and 54. But this cancer can affect males of any age, including infants and elderly men.
