Beginner rides?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Beginner rides?

i am new to the sport and just recently bought my first road bike. i have had the bike about 2 weeks and put only around 125 miles on it. I just rode my longest ride around dry creek area around 35 miles and really enjoyed the ride. i am just curious if any of you have any good rides and suggestions that you can reccomend. any info i appreciated.

thanks.

You don't have a location in your profile, so it is hard to tell. There are also regional forums on this site, but tell where you live and you will probably get some insights.

find a local cycling club, find out when they ride, and get in with them. Introduce yourself...I am sure they have rides that'll fit your skill level.

Some cycling clubs have beginner rides. Others are hard core training only. If you have any doubts, call the ride leader several days before the ride and ask about the ride difficulty.

Local bike shops can advise you about local cycling clubs.
