Replacing chamois in bibs

Has anyone ever changed a chamois in their bibs ? I have a pair of LG bibs, that i have only worn like 6 times and i hate the chamois. When i went for a ride they would hurt so bad that i couldn't even last an hour in them.

Kucharik clothing does replace pads for $30: http://www.kucharikclothing.com/-c-2...68b681cb3cbcf7

I hear they do very good work. I'm thinking I'll send them two pairs of Assos bibs with broken stitching to repair...

find new bibs that you like.

If you're obligated to wear a particular short as part of a team kit, and you hate it, it might make sense to change the pad. Otherwise, it would rarely be worth the cost and hassle imho.

Nike uses Giordana chamois and they can be had on ebay really inexpensively.

Really? Why would i do that when i have 6 pairs already.

You need to speak with Kucharik personally about repair work. I asked about triathlete wear and he said no because some are made with minimum layers and the stitching just won't hold up. He's got to see it first.

I have several pair of Kucharik shorts and love them. They are well made and the pads are great. For $29.00 they are better than my $100 Pearl Izumi shorts.

Did you get the bright green chamois in Elite shorts? Our team recently got out custom order w/ the bright green chamois. The bibs fit great, but the chamois is the most uncomfortable pad I've ever worn. A few riders complained of getting sores around the edge/stitching. I might look into getting my 3 team bib chamois replaced.

Yes it is the bright green chamois. I agree the bibs fit awesome. I got so many sores i couldn't ride for two days after.
