Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Storing Bike Tools

A while back I saw a really cool way to store tools and wanted to know if anyone knows who makes them. It was a big hanging cloth (heavy duty) with a bunch of pouches to put the tools in. Each pouch had a pic of what tool went in it (I think it did at least). It was about 2 feet wide and 4 feet and hangs from a couple of nails. It wasn't home made and it stored the tools really well.

Any idea if this is still made?

Can't help you with that thing, but this is what I use and I like it a lot. And when I travel I just pick it up off the stand and put it in my trunk. I can keep bulkier items in the bucket, such as pedals, lube, spare parts, etc.

Since the variety of tools varies from person to person, I like the shop method of hanging them on peg board and drawing an outline of the tool that goes there. Very versatile, specific, and lets you know if something is missing. I will probably do that when I actually own my home. until then, everything is inside a portable toolbox that I've had since I was a teen.
