Road Cycling

Anyone not get out this weekend?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Did 22 miles in 18*F temp, snowing kinda hard. First ride with my new studded Nokian's. Wow are these great. You can climb up normally ice coated hills without any wheel slip (assuming you stay seated)

68F when I left the house at 8 AM and 81F when I got back. 100% clear and bright sunny skies. Hardly any wind to speak off. No rough seas with clear blue water everywhere. Such a nice day you couldn't ask for anything better!

No road for me; patchy ice and snow now, and not looking too promising for the next week.

2-hour spin today took up the slack a bit. At least there's that...

Didn't go out at all. I didn't get on the trainer either. In fact, I haven't been on the trainer yet.

It was snowing yesterday and although we ended up with maybe an inch, it was cold and wet today and that makes for icy roads, even in Brooklyn. I don't have a bike with knobby tires.
