Tried search to no avail. I'm headed to sunny San Diego through the weekend (thank God cause it's gonna be 11 degrees here) and want to do some riding with my cousin when I get there. I'm planning on taking my shoes, pedals, helmet, and clothes but I really need to rent a road bike when I get out there. Any shops have rentals?

Try Nytro and B&L Bikes.

I know Nytro rents cervelo's...i've used them for races.

there is another place that rents Giants in PT Loma.

+1 on moment cycles & sport.
Where are you staying?

Talewinds 01-12-09 09:05 PM

Staying at the Kona Kai resort? Is that close to anything?

Crash716 01-12-09 09:13 PM

Kona Kai is walking distance from Moment. Let me know, I live in Point Loma Village as well.

I ride my bike from the village to work in NTC everyday past them... I need to find a rich PL widow to afford them though.

Am in town and able to ride this weekend though. PM me if you want to do 60 or so of relatively flat.

Nachoman 01-12-09 11:52 PM

Hahaha! I'm in Point Loma too!
Anyone from Point Loma feel free to PM me if you're interested in M,W F cycling @ 6:30a.m. to 7:30 a.m. A small group of us try and do regular hill repeats at Cabrillo Monument or loops on Shelter Island.

It's a nice spot to launch from. And be sure to get to the Bali Hai, which is located on the other end of Shelter Island, for a Mai Tai.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about San Diego.

Mai tais dangerous.....

So I've been out here a couple of days. Got the tour of La Jolla, and had lunch up at Torrey Pines, hung out with the locals at 'PB'.
Right now it's 10 degrees back in St. Louis.
So I've been asking myself. Why do I live there?

I found Moment Cycles and it is indeed just a few blocks from here. Thanks!

I'm going to ride Saturday morning with my cousin around Fiesta Island? I'll be the really pale guy sucking wind cause I haven't ridden since October.

My native born Californian sister and her native born Californian husband moved to St. Louis from Orange County last year. She is absolutely giddy about the 10F. Apparently, it's an adventure.
