Can I run a Campy cassette...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Short answer: yes, but you'll probably need one of these:

Why?

It can be done, but it's easier not to.

You should have had your budget in mind when you bought a wheel/group that wasn't compatible with what you own.

Shiftmate + Veloce cassette.

You didn't tell us what you have, so I'm telling you what you need to get whatever setup you have rideable.

Sorry...I thought the title of the thread was a beacon for my predicament.

I should have titled the thread,
"I have a Campy cassette..."

Then do what has been posted so far and buy the appropriate Shiftmate model.

It's the way to salvation.

Please buy mine(Shiftmate). It worked great but since the rest of the bikes drivetrain is now Campy I no longer have need of it.

Try it without the shiftmate first. I've mixed groups on several bikes without having to buy one..
