Garmin Edge 705 mount question.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garmin Edge 705 mount question.

Am I crazy or did the Edge 705 come with 2 mounts? I have the stem mount on my road bike, but need a bar mount for mt TT bike. I thought when I got it that I put the second clip and rubber mount in my tool box, but I can't find it. So, did it come with an additional clip and rubber mount, or does it just reuse the clip and I have to turn the rubber underneath it? i.e Do I have to buy a second mount?

Thanks.

I recall it comes with two mounts but only one rubber wedge spacer.

It comes with one mount. You can buy an extra mount. Try Amazon.com or the manufacturer.

Two mounts, 1 rubber spacer. I don't use the rubber spacer for mounting it on the stem..

Yeah I've got the angled spacer sitting here in front of me, but for the life of me, swear I got an additional bar mount(rubber) and plastic clip too.

If I remember correctly, two mounts (one for stem and one for bar) and one spacer. You can pick up the plastic clips at Home Depot easily enough.

Another vote for two mounts...and the insert comes out so they can be angled for either bar or stem use. But yes only one angled rubber spacer as has been mentioned.

No, you are thinking of the zipties. The "clip" part of the mount is Garmin-specific. Note however that although the two mounts come set up as one each for bar and stem, you can switch either one by pulling the two halves apart and rotating the clip part in the base.

both my mounts were the same. you can rotate the two little pieces of the mount for either stem or bar mounting.
