Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New User, New Bike

L-O all. i am ijunes, and i just registered with the site today after only being a reader for so long.

i used to have a 94 GT Force Road bike, that i treasured as a POS but got stolen on NYE 09'.

I recently came across a new bike which I believe was sold to me as a pity sale from one of my friends. I wanted some user feedback on what you guys thought of this bike because there isn't much info on the internet as to the frame.

Frame:
1994 LOOK KG176 HiMo Carbon Fiber Custom Fiber 53cm
Handlebars and Stem:
Cinelli Grammo Titanium 130mm stem w/Cinelli Eubios
Fork and Headset:
Stock LOOK Carbon Fiber Fork w/ Dura Ace 7410 Headset
Crankset and Bottom bracket:
Dura Ace 7410 Series
Saddle and Seat Post:
Selle Italia Flite Titanium w/ LOOK ErgoPost 2
Pedals and Chain:
Dura Ace Chain w/ Forte Look Pedals
Cog/Gearing et cetera:
53/39 23/12 8 SPD Dura Ace 7410 Series

i got the bike minus the wheels and pedals for 600 dollars.

what do you think?

Is it really carbon? Small tubes and the era lead me to think its steel. Either way a classic Look bike.

yeah it is full carbon. look specialized with carbon only frames and even though its 1" tubing, they left a portion of the paint clearcoated on the fork and frame to show that the material under is carbon. Everything else is either titanium or carbon except for the dura ace 7410
