Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The randonneuring stuff normally goes in the "Long Distance" forum. Good luck with the project.

Good luck in you training. Good to hear from randonneurs in the Ukraine. The long distance forum referenced above will be more welcoming than this road forum. People here tend to be a bit harsh.

Hey good luck with the ride.

Your thread probably does belong in the endurance forum. (I know from living and riding in Europe that the boundaries between audax, brevets, randon. and racing are more fluid.)

PS -- don't mind Umd or Dum or whatever his name is. He's just a rude pr*ck.

Name calling. Wow, you're mature. Whatever. There is a reason it is bad to bump old threads like he did to Machka's. People see the thread, click on it and don't realize it was several years old, and make comments like "wow, congratulations, what's next?" as though it just happened. There is no good reason to bring back old threads like that.

That's funny. I was wondering why you would have edited the quote to insult yourself.

Check out the long distance forum: https://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=231

Most of the people in here only ride short distances and don't understand "1200K brevet".
