Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was a mortgage broker, but during the past year I found it to be a great profession for achieving my weight loss goals. So, I went back to my previous profession in technology sales selling high-speed production printers.

Better go oral surgery. I've ridden with one in the Twin Cities who rides a Moots. My bro-in-law rides a Bianchi San Lorenzo, and he is an endodontist....clearly this is the way to go.

Nah, I was on the fixed wing side of things in a King Air 200. I flew hospital to hospital transfers. I miss those days.

Porsche Salesman for 10 years ... until...

CLIENT: " Gee this Baby really handles! I can't get the rear wheels loose!
ME: Slow down!!!
HUGE OAK TREE: "ouch"
CLIENT (through fog of multiple deployed air-bags) "sorry dude"
ME: broken back and currently in recovery.

The upside: more time with my three daughters in the past year than in the previous 10!

Sorry to hear that, hope you have a good recovery! Did the client compensate you?

I was told the Client pulled out his Father's insurance card and offered to pay for the damage to the Porsche. I never heard from him again and the insurance companies involved are trying to work things out. I'm focusing on my recovery from surgery and trying to get used to the idea that I now have more titanium along my spine than the top-tube of a Lightspeed! Well, if not the top-tube then at least the stem!

I own and manage a music studio (teaching/recording/production/dance/rehearsal). I've worked as a musician for most of my life. Riding is great distraction from music.
