Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm 5'-9", 180ish lbs during the winter dropping to 170 normally during mid summer. Hoping to get it down to 165 as a goal this summer.

If I were to get down to 140 my family would definitely organize an intervention of some kind. The 140 area was my h.s. weight.

5'9" mid-140s currently, on my way back down to high-130s race weight. Would like to get to 135 if I can keep my power where it is, but probably not likely. I know some of my increase has been muscle weight because my thighs are another inch around and despite the extra weight I still fit into my 26's (which I haven't always been able to do at this same weight).

The fat measuring scale he got at Wal-Mart told him so.

Haha, those BF scales are a joke. I have one that is supposed to be pretty good (top line Tanita Ironman), and it almost always said I was 5%, even through a 30 pound weight swing, where I clearly was not 5%. I've also measured on another scale of the same model so I know it wasn't just mine. Last I checked with a home caliper thing it put me at about 10%. I did one in the gym a few years ago that put me around 15%; I was about the same weight I am now, but I am currently much fitter and leaner.

5'11.5" - 169 pounds this morning, down from 185 in 2001, when I started to cut down on unhealthy foods and when I cut down on the amount of food I consumed. When I weigh less, I climb faster.

5'10" (178 cm), 173 lbs (78 kg). I'd like to be 5 pounds lighter for Cherry Pie in February, maybe another 5 pounds lighter for Copperopolis in the spring.

This is what happens when we use fuzzy but important-sounding language, or seek to impress rather than to communicate clearly and simply.
