'07 Giant TCR C1 $1999.00 good deal?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

'07 Giant TCR C1 $1999.00 good deal?

I was looking at an OCR and found this in the same price range. Was $3k. I was going to look at a trek 5.5 for 3k and a cervelo RS for 3500 and started seeing these Giants that appear to be good deals for their spec. I thought with the money saved from the other options, I could get alot of extra goodies. Comments welcome.

Damn Good Deal provided it is in good shape and it fits. If its new its a super deal by the way. We found an 07 new last year for 2k. This was by haphazardly calling the store when the rep was in and he was about to liquidate the stock to a liquidator. Look at a couple of liquidators online if you can find a store in your area that will take it as a transfer you could get that bike brand new for possibly the same price or cheaper depending on the size you need.

Looks rather good to me. Not jaw-droppingly good, but if you were in the market for a bike of that sort, and, most importantly, it fits you, then I'd say you'd be doing alright.

The C1 is a Dura-ace/Ultegra mix (msrp $3k and selling for $2k here)--how is that not a deal?

In fact, I bought the same thing at a local shop here in September for the same price. -- At the time, they had an assortment of sizes, at least M, M/L and L.

I'd agree with the others, it's a good deal (not a great deal), only because it's 2 years old.
But for $2K there aren't many other bikes at that price point that can beat the TCR comp, especially with full Ultegra.
As long as the frame fits, I'd go for it.
Obligatory pics required once you buy it (and you will)
