That's one of the things I like about Trek/Bontrager (other than their beautiful Madones with hidden cabling... you hearing me Specialized?!?!?!) ... their computers have got pretty elegant screen setups with multiple fields, whereas the Specialized ones don't really do that.

aww that sucks. Well just one more day. My sensors come in sometime between tomorrow and Friday, hah.

acaurora 05-17-10 08:29 PM

Nice. Why can't freaking Specialized/Garmin do something as clean and integrated as Trek :( Oh well.

Bought a Garmin Edge 500 at a charity silent auction on Friday night at the ATOC team presentation gala. It was interesting that there were lots of signed team jerseys and cycling related art, but the Garmin was the only item actually useful for a rider. (Well, there was a Felt cruiser bike donated by Jim Felt, but I didn't bid on that).

Oh, and I bought some tubes and Kenda Kontender tires from the Kenda trailer at the ATOC on Sunday.

acaurora 05-17-10 10:45 PM

oooh nice! Was the Edge 500 the Argyle Edition?

Performance Ultra II bibs...I was only able to ride on the trainer today due to the weather, but omg they are so much more comfortable than my shorts

Of course! And it came with a cadence sensor and a upgraded heart rate strap. But the best part is that since it's a ANT+ receiver, all I need is a wireless powertap hub and I'm golden!

A simple bike stand from target and Gore Bike Wear Ozon II bibs in all black.

Two new tires..

The bike isn't mine but it had the same tire. I'm waiting for them to arrive tommorow. They are 700x23 cst czar tires black/red 120psi..
Nothing special really. I wanted the folding version but they were out so i opted for the wire bead since i need tires and they're cheaper anyway.

Got a set of Continental GP4000S clincher tires (largely by recommendation of this board.) I also got them because black chili powder sounds like such a ridiculous selling point I had to have them. I did a quick ride with them today and they seemed to handle pretty well. Wasn't sure I would, but I could definitely feel the difference between my old 25mm tire profile to the new 23mm tire profile.

Can you? I couldn't. Plus it takes them about 30 miles to wear off the outer layer and become sticky.

For my birthday coming, a good friend of mine ordered http://greasemonkeywipes.com/
and gave me half a box. We saw these on the TV show, "The Shark Tank" and I thought they were brilliant. My friend remembered and tracked some down.

Since I went all the way down to the Tour De Cure, and realized I forgot my helmet, which is mandatory (even though I could have and should have just rode without it this time) I had to buy a new crappy Schwinn Helmet to participate.

I think I also picked a few small tools and odds and ends over the past couple of days for the bikes.

I had to buy some more CO2 since I flatted twice this month... and I never get flats!
