I replaced my rear Ultegra cog set from a 12/24 to a 12/27 on my Cannoondale R2000. Small cahnge but big results when climbing. I found a site where I can bump it up to a 12x30. I am just trying to justify in my mind the $99 to do so, so soon after. By the Spring, I will be making the change. Climbing is so much improved.

Great idea! Just picked one up on ebay for $3.00. Probably not accurate, but as long as it measures a baseline for when I start trimming weight.

Also bought lately -

full carbon saddles I can understand being comfortable.

But a saddle with a bunch of sharp edges on it? No freaking way that thing is comfortable. I'll be interested to hear.

The bike I have came with a Prologo Scratch Pro which I found put a bit more pressure than I wanted; this saddle however is uber comfortable. The previous Spyder I think had some complaints about the edges, which I never tried. I am super impressed.

Wheels arrived. Now waiting for my Continental GP4000S from PBK, and cassettes from LBS. Sigh...so much waiting.

The beginnings of my winter commuting/training bike. 2006 Giant OCR2. It will have full fenders and maybe a rack since the carbon fork has eyelets. I'll ride the Xero wheels until they destroy themselves and replace them with something more suitable later. I'm looking for a 100mm 6 degree stem, a used 143 Toupe, and a set of Speedplay Zeros. I have a Magicshine 900 kit ready to go.

I had that exact same bike. However, mine had the "shakes" when going around 30 mph, and after riding it on a century, decided that carbon was the way to go. Never looked back ever since.
