Got a pair of Zyon sunglasses in matte black with the ImpactX Photochromatic Polarized lens, Red Racing lens, and Clear lens. Plus all the other junk...hat, shirt, bag, etc. With insurance it came to $50.

i'm tempted to pull the trigger but I hate how they say 50aniv on em. realcyclist just ran out of all white ones on sale. bummer

I had to look to see what you were talking about. haha. IMO, the "50" is subtle enough. And since I'll be rotating them with my shiny red ones (and also since it seldom rains in SD), they should last long enough to eventually become hipster-retro.

And Lowcel, yours are quite spiffy in a saddle-shoes, 20's-gangster kind of way, but they're not categorically clownshoes...

While on mile 80 of a solo century two weekends ago, I was riding into a headwind and decided to rest my forearms on my top tube and noticed I was easily able to sustain 25mph into the headwind. I'd remembered seeing Rasmussen doing that while working for Denis Menchov back in '06 and since I was riding in a relatively safe place to try it... Mayhaps with these little suckers, I might be able to finish my five-hour centuries in 4:30 instead... |
