I'd ask how much, but not only would that be gouche, it may cause me to consider one if the price was right.

New-to-me Force crankset is on the way here. I'm excited to lose the 200 grams or so vs the stock FSA Gossamer and (more importantly) shorten up the crank arms (175 is a little long for me). http://www.backcountry.com/images/it...037/GAREDI.jpg Also ordered a stem from RealCyclist (on sale, $44) to match the handlebars ordered from PBK. |

While on mile 80 of a solo century two weekends ago, I was riding into a headwind and decided to rest my forearms on my top tube and noticed I was easily able to sustain 25mph into the headwind. I'd remembered seeing Rasmussen doing that while working for Denis Menchov back in '06 and since I was riding in a relatively safe place to try it... Mayhaps with these little suckers, I might be able to finish my five-hour centuries in 4:30 instead... Since then I've been considering getting some TT-bar for my bike... |

Why do you need that Scooper, do you have a problem with crashing into trolleys? |

Oh I have no self-control. I went into my LBS for a pair of insoles for my sparkly-white new Sidis and a few inner tubes, and ended up making a down-payment on a leftover Stumpjumper Elite. It was $1100 less than MSRP of the '11 model, and it has XTR derailleurs instead of asSram. I walked out, then back into the shop three times, but when Abe said he'd hold it with a layaway deposit, I knew I'd only regret letting it slip away.
http://www.claremontcycle.com/images..._FSR_elite.jpg The mountainbike was supposed to be my reward for a sub-5:30 Etape du California, but paying an extra thousand-plus bucks for a bike with Sram wouldn't've been much of a reward. |
Cheap training/commuting tires on Bonktown.

SRAM Rival brakes, I didn't like the OEM Lee Chi brakes Bella wore.

More little **** -
Park TW-1 torque wrench - http://www.backcountry.com/images/it.../S38INSODR.jpg ... and Bonktown got me with the Castelli Jersey - http://www.backcountry.com/images/it...ST0487/BLA.jpg |
Gots me an Avid bleed kit today. No more trips to the shop to bleed the brakes!
