Buy one get one free at PBK. It was confusing at check out... I put two into my basket but it wanted to charge me for both (ie no buy one get one deal), so I just put one instead and am hoping two are sent??

So, as suggested by a few members on the forum. Instead of upgrading my Allez to 2x10 (for now) I just ordered my new bike.
SuperiorLite - SL Race Cat 3 - 105 Groupset in a Medium
http://superiorlitebikes.com/slracec3105.php
I went with the Unpainted 12k carbon color scheme.

I will be meeting with the owner of the company at the end of the week to go for a ride and pick it up. I'll post pictures then.

New bikes rock! :thumb:

Hopefully you get the carbon "monocoque" frame and not the "manocoque" as pictured.

X-LinkedRider 03-14-11 10:43 AM

Its funny, i just noticed that too. I kind of like the Man-o-coque

I believe that was 2010 bike anyway, with demo stickers and such.

LuMax 03-14-11 10:53 AM

"Hey baby, want to go for a ride on my Manocoque?"

X-LinkedRider 03-14-11 10:58 AM

I don't even have to give the bike a name or a nick name - It is, what it is. Don't be surprised if you see somebody start posting as 'Manocoque"

X-LinkedRider 03-14-11 11:06 AM

I actually just spoke with owner, and they have 1 more frame that has it spelled that way if I want it. He's not sure if it's my size. I said if it is, I will take it. Lol. Make's it only that much more custom.

A mini Specialized hand pump. Dealer said he could pump it up to 120 psi so I'll test that claim the next time I get a flat...

Another pair of Sugoi RS shorts. LOVE these shorts!!! Snatched them up on eBay at the price of $51. I wish I could buy a whole box @ that price.

I have a few of these shorts as well and they haven't faired as well as I thought they would. I find that the stitching is fairly delicate and the rubber grippers inside the leg disintegrate fairly quickly. Maybe my washing machine is too aggressive ;) The chamois is nice, though.

Nothing fun but just bought the essential bag to carry a extra tube, small pump, cell phone, etc.

I'm finally ready to get into some real rides.

I always use the lightest wash, add a bit of Tide, vinegar and baking soda too then stuff only biking clothing into the washer. Then I hang up the Sugoi's on bent metal wire hangers until they're dry. The first pair I bought back in February still looks brand new besides extremely light color fading on the gray to red part on the chamois and tiny splinters in the SUGOI lettering on the front. Maybe this will help!

Picked up a few SuperiorLite Jersey's to represent a little better. Picked one up for my friend who did not previously own ANY bike jersey's. I figured since they are pretty damn nice full zip / 3 pocket jerseys for under 20 dollars shipped, it just made sense. Plus gotta rep the new bike.

It has got to be the best ice breaker for any cyclist conversation yet. Been out on just a few rides with it and ive heard 'Nice manocoque' like a dozen times already. (From the other riders of course)

Bianchigirll 03-24-11 07:11 AM

"the Woo", MA, I never heard that before, when I lived in Quinzy, it was just Wooostah.

None of the above. "The Woo" is Woburn. Native of Waltham, though.

  1. HubBub helmet mirror - I've decided I don't like eyeglass mirrors
  2. SRAM X.9 10 spd RD
  3. Shiftmate 5S
  4. Specialized Bibs

I have a Deore RD and right angle Shiftmate now, but the shifting isn't perfect. I think the straight-in housing run will give me crisper shifting

VA_Esquire 03-24-11 07:48 PM

forte lunar tubes

sram PG-1070 11-23 cassette

John00 03-24-11 09:46 PM

Bought a new Bell Array helmet to replace the one I cracked when my bike slid out from under me on a patch of snow. Also picked up some SKS P35 fenders, because it rains here so much.
