Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aerus composites is the accessory brand to BLUE bikes.

weight is 240g Slightly heavier than my bontrager xXx bars but less bar tape puts it at moot really.

Just got my 58cm Blacktacular Surly Long Haul Trucker today! Installed my new saddle. I can't wait to do some riding this weekend. I'm so gonna pimp it out. Hammered fenders from VeloOrange, Brooks mudflaps, Surly Nice Rack with leather tool bag. Can't wait.

today over lunch I had to stop by SportsAuthority to pick up football stuff for my oldest boy (quick brag time - he's QB on his team, last game he ran 1td from 80yds out, another from 45yds out, and threw 1 for about 35yds, scored 3 of the teams 4 extra pt tries, and made the shutout saving tackle from their last kickoff - he's also the kicker - in their 27-0 game, kids got game yo! )

anyway, picked up an el cheapo set of glasses from there to ride in an put my heavy ass oakley x-metal xx's back to non-sporting use... picked up a set of Style Eyes Kingpins, surprisingly good optics, price was only 24.99, quite happy with the purchase...

Assos Chamois cream. If you never used it, then you won't think it is necessary. If you have used it, it somehow becomes necessary. Actually, I only use it for rides longer than about 60 miles.

Just binned the 105 that my SuperSix came with in favor of SRAM Force. Wow, what a difference.

Speaking of 105. Here's my new stuff. Can I still call it full 105 if the crank is an R-600?

I also have some H + Son SL 42s on the way with 105 hubs and an Ultegra cassette.

Just bought a Paul Components Chain Watcher for my 1x10 cross bike, a 11-28 cassette for it, and a Force shifter to go back on my rain bike I stole the shifter off of to make my cross bike have gears. I hope my Cervelo doesn't get jealous of all the schwag procurement, and nothing for her.

New pair of Campy ergo 10 speed shiftes. Broke the left shifter on the tandem and I really needed a spare set of shifters. I'll put the new shifters on my single and cannabalize as necessary.

My latest purchase was new wheels, American Classic 420 Aero 3 in white and blue. Very happy for the first and only day I have gotten to ride them before my group set came in and dropped off at shop to install..
