Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

picked up a pair of these from Performance Bicycle. They're SPD on one side, plain platform on the other. Was considering the Shimano touring pedals for a long time, but found these for well less than half the price, so figured i'd go for them. Seem to be pretty good so far after the first ride:

A 2010 Cervelo S2 Frameset. I always wanted a white S2 and finally found one with a price too good to pass up.

My mudflaps fell off my commuter, so I ordered replacements from PlanetBike.com .. gotta love their free shipping for small parts. The mudflaps got here and had the same flimsy plastic attachers that failed me last time. I didn't want to lose another set so I went to the local hardware store and got some copper rivets to match the copper accessories theme of the rest of the bike. I am quite happy with the way it turned out, taking in to account my limited mechanical skills.
I know it is a crappy job with the reflector tape. I will get some more and re-do that.

I just blew $50 on some Perpetuem and gels. Looking for some shoe rain covers but the shop only had some crappy overpriced ones... I've been really good about not spending cash on my bike lately - I'm both proud and ashamed of myself.

Those KCNC brakes rock. Just make sure you keep the roller pin lubed with some dry lube, or they start to get sticky. Other than that, they are great brakes, stop well, and weigh very little.
