A Giro Havoc Helmet in pristine condition. 2 bucks from the local thrift. Looks like a savings of about $50 from what I have seen elsewhere.

That's a good buy! $2 for a new $50 helmet, you can't beat that.

Those Brooks saddle bags look really really nice...except for one small problem. I had a friend who did and does a lot of touring and bought a set of leather and canvas touring bags including the saddle bag pictured above, and all of those expensive bags, including the saddle bag, the leather straps cracked and broke in a two to three year period of time. He wised up and went with normal bags.

What kind of cold weather bibs are those?
Two NiteRider Sol lights, helmet mount, two batteries off Ebay $20 - just need to buy a handlebar mount, I really wanted it for a helmet mount like.

Ultegra 6700 53/39 175mm crank off of Bonktown for $180. Cleared it with the CFO (wife) before making the purchase, too. :D

Just saw that... was tempted to purchase just to have around if anything ever happened with my crankset.

2009 Orbea Onix TDA. LBS rental bike. $1200. (The biggest one in the fleet so it hardly got used) Picked it up last night, spent the evening putting on new tires & saddle, dialing in position. Rode it 47 mi today, up into the mountains and back. Holy ****! This bike is either going to make me super fit or super dead. Oh, and did I mention, IT'S BLUE!! And no, I don't have any pics. I spent the day RIDING!

Picked up an Elite Crono Fluid ElastoGel Trainer for my move to indoor training during the week for the Winter. For the cheap price, it's not too shabby!

I use those fenders on my BH G5 frame which has approximately a popsicle stick's worth of clearance. I had to do some trimming around the FD cable since it comes up out of a hole in the frame instead of around a bolt-on cable guide, but other than that, I love them. They do rub a tiny bit here and there since they are relatively flexible but they don't seem to cause any real drag. I'm sure I would get a lot less rub if I ran 23c tires in the rear but I'm currently running a Conti 4000S 25mm in the rear.

Here's a tip: Place a piece of black electrical tape on the seatstays where you attach the little plastic lugs with the rubber rings. I got some grinding marks in the paint in those spots last season. This year I added the strip of tape. I don't think you have to overdo it but a little protection goes a long way. If you want to leave it in place, a framesaver sticker would be a good idea too.

1. I have three bikes, I commute daily and I would like to be seen.
2. Reflective tape can be more effective than lights. Especially the kind of tape I've purchased.
3. Thanks for your valuable input.
